also,am married to an "old" mariner. Many months apart in the first years of our marriage. My husband did not see our only child until she was 10 months old,but we never blame any one else for this ,as we knew he was going away,so perhaps we should have known better. However I was 18 and he was 20,so you only got birth control via a plain brown envelope. If I tell you that we met in november 1963,became engaged in December 1963,and married in march 1964,and are still together after 47 years ,but I think there are alot of people like us ,but you never hear of them.
My Husband is Kevan,my Daughter is Karen,my Grandsons are Owen 28 and Tim 25.My Daughter is a teacher,as is my son-in-law.My oldest Grandson went to Uni and got a Bsc.He is now a surgeon,we laugh at this,a tree surgeon, bless him,he is a country boy!
Younger Grandson is an Electrician and is doing very well.As for me,Kevan is an ex police officer, which is why we have moved around a lot,he then went into local government, for 14 years, and is now retired.Any way thats us,hope we can welcome you to our family
