James Hollis, Obituary: "In our obituary of today we have to record the decease of two persons, who had both arrived at the mature age of 83 years. Mr. James Hollis was, till his death, in the possession of every faculty, and to the last bustled about in his business quite vigorously for a person who had attained such an age. He was one of those men whom trouble used to sit lightly on, living as blameless a life as it is possible to imagine. Without one enemy in the world, his life must have been a very happy one. His remains were interred at the Cemetery on Saturday, when several tradesmen spontaneously followed him to his last resting place, as a mark of respect to one they had always known in the town.
