Notes

Note: 1

Charles James Gouldsmith - did he have any further children with his first wife? Not that I can find. Did he have any further children with his second wife? The 1911 census shows that he has had three children one of whom has died.

Note: 2

Charles James Gouldsmith - at some point between the 1861 census and the reading of his banns of marriage in December 1866 he moved to Old Brentford, Hounslow. His banns were read in December at St George's Parish Church. The National Archives records that "the township of Old Brentford was formerly part of the ancient parish of Ealing..." which explains the residency on his marriage record.

Note: 3

Charles James Gouldsmith - what was the "British School" in Reigate? And why was the parish called "Reigate Foreign"?
